Human parasites. Part 3

The 2nd Airborne Trypanosoma Squad in action. That was one of the most stupid things I've ever written in english about one of the prettiest things I've ever drawn in photoshop. Enjoy.

And a tiny making-of. Someday I'll make a post about digital painting and some simple techniques that can save hours of an illustrator's life.

Human parasites

Yeah!!! The first part of the Human Parasites Project is ready. I'll polish the last illustrations and and maybe try to get them fit for web, because every picture had to be printed as A3 poster, before being put into a book layout.

The first two of them. (I start to treat them like pets.)

Demodex brevis, known as a face mite:

Dermatophagoides or house dust mites:

How it should be. 2 A3 pages

Everything is alright.

I know, I've completely neglected this blog since August 2012 and no apology could wash away my guilt. If I just could find somebody to write me angry messages as reminder for the case that I forget my duties. I'm going to update new pics weekly, even though I have more sketches than finished illustrations at the present moment.

Now I'm working on two projects simultaneously. The first one is a graphic novel about indigenous people:

And another one is a book about different species of human parasites:

It's not complete yet, but you can see, what it's all about. Don't hesitate to drop me a line, if you've noticed, that no new stuff shows up here.

Snow-White and Rose-Red Nr.1

There is a project, I’ve been working on for the last 2 years. Although it was supposed to be an ordinary illustrated book of a German fairy tale “Snow-White and Rose-Red”, I accidentally developed so many versions of characters and sets, that nobody knows, where my sick fantasy ends and the real book begins. I couldn't complete it because of many reasons, but I never stopped adding some details, making a lot of studies on torn paper sheets and pouring liters of ink on my new chair (fortunately, it's black).

Some pretty old stuff

A long, long time ago...

Yeah!! Long time no see. I found an old sequence, that I haven't published yet. It was my first experiment on combining 2d and 3d footage and it brought a lot of surprises, I was not prepared for. But anyway, I think it is time to show THIS:
